The African continent strains under the weight of talented but unemployed and underemployed youth, who enter the job market by the millions everyday. This slows down the continent’s march towards prosperity. It lays to waste what has been indisputably acknowledged as Africa’s greatest resource – the youth. How can we convert this idle talent into productivity? Pillars of Africa (POA) is a youth development program that seeks to address this problem. The various solutions under POA constitute peer inspirational platforms, as well as concrete programs that provide the relevant infrastructure to develop the social and economic status of young people tangibly.
