DIVISION DIRECTOR

JOB DESCRIPTION

WOODSIDE AFRICA GROUP LLC is seeking highly driven, results-oriented and conscientious Division Directors to join the leadership team. The ideal candidates will have the crucial responsibility of overseeing and managing all operations within a respective division. This leadership role requires strategic thinking, strong decision-making abilities, and excellent communication skills to effectively drive the division towards success. Division Directors will work closely with other executives and departments to ensure alignment with the company’s overall goals and objectives. This role reports to the Managing Director.

Division Director’s Duties

  • Develop and execute the relevant division’s sustainability-anchored strategic plan.
  • Drive business growth and performance.
  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to the division team members, fostering a positive work culture, and promoting collaboration and teamwork.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the division’s progress and identify areas for improvement. Take proactive measures to address any challenges or obstacles that may arise.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and vendors, to establish strategic alliances and enhance the division’s reputation and market presence.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions, assessing the potential impact on the division’s operations and implementing necessary adjustments to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies within the division, fostering a culture of ethical conduct and integrity.
  • Lead the division’s efforts in product or service development, working closely with the research and development team to identify market opportunities and drive innovation.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for executive management, providing updates on the division’s performance, achievements, and challenges.

Division Director Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success in driving growth and profitability within a division or business unit.
  • Strong understanding of the industry in which the division operates, including market dynamics and competitive landscape.
  • Experience in developing and implementing sustainability based strategic plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Excellent financial acumen, with a thorough understanding of budgeting, financial analysis, and cost management.
  • Solid knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong network of industry contacts and relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant business software.
  • Outstanding leadership abilities with a track record of building high-performing teams.
