HUMAN RESOURCES & ADMINISTRATION MANAGER

JOB DESCRIPTION

WOODSIDE AFRICA GROUP LLC seeks to recruit an exceptional and results-oriented individual for the position of Human Resources (HR) & Administration Manager. This role will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the organization’s capacity in human resources by planning, implementing, evaluating, and executing HR and administration responsibilities. The HR & Administration Manager will be responsible for ensuring timely processing of all staff-related payments and compliance with the statutory and other deductions requirements; as well as office efficiency through proper administration. This role reports to the Managing Director, with a dotted line responsibility to Division Directors.

HR & Administration Manager Key Responsibilities

§  Interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations to employees as required.

§  Ensure all employees have proper work documentation including contracts, code of conduct, privacy policy, identity, permits, etc.

§  Leave (time-off) management including holidays, sick leave, annual, emergencies, and parental leave — through proper policies and guidelines.

§  Support Employee onboarding process by establishing and conducting orientation for all new staff.

§  Ensure proper technological support for the HR and administration functions.

§  Design and support the staff Performance Management process by working with line managers.

§  Facilitate learning and development for the team.

§  Preparation and processing of payroll for employees in the organization on a monthly basis including statutory deductions, gratuity, leave, medical insurance, group personal accident insurance and other allowances.

§  Address employee concerns and issues in a timely, courteous, professional and procedural manner.

§  Manage and coordinate all human resource and administration records using an impeccable filing and retrieval system.

§  Install and execute an employee sustainability program that will enhance the company growth and performance as measured through various HR-related metrics.

§  Grow and enhance the desired culture based on organisation values.

§  Ensure statutory compliance of current employee labor laws.

§  Coordinate exit process, staff separation, process terminal dues and ensure issuance of Certificate of service as per the Labour laws in Kenya.

 

HR & Administration Job Requirements:

§  Over 5 years HR experience in a cutting-edge, professional and diverse business environment.

§  Detailed knowledge of HR concepts, employment laws and regulations.

§  Proficiency with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and MS Office.

§  Have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.

§  Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills.

§  Confidentiality and sensitive information handling skills.
