BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE
JOB DESCRIPTION
WOODSIDE AFRICA GROUP LLC is seeking to hire Business Development Executives. The successful candidates will drive initiatives to expand the company’s market penetration and presence; as well as deliver on set targets for business revenue growth, social and environmental impact numbers. This role reports to the Business Unit Manager.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy and Planning
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and convert high-potential accounts.
- Create and deliver sales presentations and proposals.
- Market Growth, Research, and Analysis
- Identify new business opportunities with potential clients/customers/partners to drive business growth.
- Conduct market intelligence to identify potential clients/customers/partners; as well as industry and market trends.
- Analyse market data and activity to inform strategic decisions for the organization.
- Clients/Customers/Partners Relationship Management
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients/customers/partners, ensuring high satisfaction and retention rates.
- Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products and services.
- Address clients/customers/partners inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Develop a growth strategy focused both on Market penetration, Customer satisfaction, impact and profitability.
- Performance monitoring
- Track and report on sales and business development activities, progress, and results.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, clients/customers/partners feedback, and market trends to inform business decisions and enhance overall performance.
- Make data-driven recommendations for performance improvements.
- Team Collaboration
- Collaborate with other business unit teams to ensure a seamless clients/customers/partners experience.
- Work with other team members for synergistic purposes.
- Contract Negotiation
- Participate in contract negotiations and close deals between the organization and clients/customers/partners.
- Ensure that all contracts comply with the organization’s policies and legal requirements.
Job Qualifications, Skills and Requirements
- Minimum of First Degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business Administration, or other related discipline.
- An MBA or Master in a relevant discipline would be an added advantage.
- At least 5 years post-qualification proven experience in Business Development or a related role.
- Strong understanding of sales techniques and strategies.
- Self-starting capability.
- Strong leader and communicator.
- Market Research and competition analysis.
- Legal and Contractual knowledge.
- Project management and Data analysis.
