However there is a lot of confusion over this area in Africa; resulting into a bewildered struggle for organisations attempting to make a strong business case out of sustainability adoption and integration. A critical shortage of readily available corporate sustainability experts – especially those with a thorough understanding of the dynamics of the African business environment – does not help the situation.
