Societies will always have persons with extreme needs ranging from the very young to the old.  Some individuals who have been endowed with golden hearts – also referred to as humanitarians – are conscious of others’ circumstances and reach out to the vulnerable to improve their lives. These humanitarians set up support structures for them. The vulnerable are then able to contribute to the society as meaningful members. Through the various Pillars of Africa (POA) fundraising initiatives, the POA Foundation generates a pool of funds to support the compassion endeavors of this rare breed of golden-hearted youth.
