A. Team & Player Registration

  1. All teams must sign and submit the Registration Form.
  2. Each participating team must register 10 players for the tournament.
  3. All teams must adhere to the Rules and Regulations of the tournament. Teams flouting these Rules and Regulations will automatically be disqualified from the tournament.
  4. No player will play for more than one team during the tournament. Each player will only play under his or her registered teams.

B. Player Eligibility & Age Requirements

  1. All community team players must be between 18-35 years old by the time of the tournament.
  2. All players must be of good health and medically fit to participate in the tournament.

C. Identification & Documentation

  1. A duly filled Registration Form must be submitted together with Players’ copies of National Identity Cards, or Valid Passports, or ID Waiting Card, or Police Abstract for lost ID.
  2. Each player must download and submit an individual Consent Form prior to the tournament.
  3. If none of the above documents are available, participation will be at the organiser’s discretion.
  4. Any player who submits a fake identification document will be guilty of a misdemeanor and will be handed over to the authorities.
  5. On the day of the tournament, each player will be required to produce ORIGINALS of the photocopied identification documents submitted with the Registration Form. Failure to do so will result in the player being disqualified from participating in the tournament.

D. Conduct, Integrity & Safety

  1. Teams will be responsible for their internal affairs. Disputes within the teams that jeopardize the credibility of the tournament may lead to automatic disqualification, and forfeiture of any prizes.
  2. Participating teams will not hold the organiser responsible for any injuries, losses or damages during the tournament.
  3. Participating teams and all their members exclusively authorise the organisers to use their teams’ name or individuals on promotions and advertisements before, during and after the tournament.
  4. All players must agree to random drug tests during the tournament. Those who do not pass the tests will be disqualified.
  5. Participating players and teams will not take part in any form of manipulation (by offering or attempting to offer a bribe or by receiving or attempting to receive or seek a bribe) or unlawfully alter or influence the result or any other aspect of a football match or competition. The organisers will have the right to expel a player(s)/team that does the contrary.

E. General

  1. The organisers reserve the right to change the rules of participation without prior notice. In case of any disputes arising, the organisers’ decision will be final.

F. Data Collection & Technology Consent

  1. Matches will be recorded by cameras and/or third-party video analysis platforms. Match footage and derived tactical/performance data may be stored, processed, and used by the organisers and their authorised partners for broadcast and promotional purposes.
  2. Players are required to provide their Date of Birth and Height as part of individual player registration. Weight is optional and may be recorded where players consent to use on-site weighing facilities. This data will be used to verify eligibility, and support player welfare. It will be held securely and processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act of Kenya (2019). Individual player biometric data will not be shared with third parties except where required by law or expressly authorised by the player.
  3. All personal and performance data collected under this registration will be retained for the duration of the tournament and for up to 7 years thereafter for legal and reporting purposes. Players have the right to access, correct or request deletion of their personal data by contacting poa@woodside.africa.
  4. Each participating player is required to complete a separate Consent Form before participating in any session where data collection technology is deployed. A team’s submission of this Registration Form does not replace the Consent Form.

Data Protection Notice: The information provided is for the purpose of entry and participation in the POA Football Tournament and is handled in accordance with the Data Protection Act of Kenya (2019). By participating in the POA Football Tournament, all team participants grant Woodside Africa Group LLC and its subsidiaries a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use their name, image, likeness and biographical information. This data may be used for event logistics (including registration, scheduling and health/safety protocols) as well as for marketing and promotional purposes across any media throughout the campaign and future events.
