The cost of decent housing and shelter within urban areas in Africa has become increasingly prohibitive. Due to prevalent low incomes amongst the youth, they are often pushed to informal settlements (slums) or other sub-optimal dwellings. This affects their general well-being and ultimately curtails productivity.  Vulnerable youth can only be re-invigorated if the most basic of human survival needs are adequately met – food, clothes and shelter. Keja Poa is an affordable housing project that is designed to provide decent and dignified shelter for the urban youth.
