• Participants must be of any African Nationality.
• Participation fee is Ksh 5000/- per art piece/entry.

RECYCLED ART JUDGING CRITERIA 

SUSTAINABILITY:

How the Recycled Art Piece has played a part in fostering change in the Art ecosystem towards greater ecological/environmental integrity and social justice.  

RELEVANCE:

Adherence to the theme: Climate Action.

CREATIVITY:

The uniqueness of the Artist’s imagination and how it is manifested in the Art Designs.

DESIGN:

Flawless in execution. Detail and the time that the Artist put into the Recycled Art Piece.

RESOURCEFULNESS:

The Artist demonstrates ability to  achieve optimal results from minimal resources. He/she has found a particularly effective and efficient way of doing things by using recycled materials. 

ORIGINALITY:

Novelty of ideas of the Artist’s Piece. There should be little or no imitation of past Recycled Art Pieces. Past Recycled Art Pieces may only be used for inspirational purposes, but not plagiarized.

VISION:

The ability of the Artist to think about or plan the future with imagination or wisdom is demonstrated in their Recycled Art Piece.

INNOVATION:

The Recycled Art Piece is bold, innovative and progressive. It pushes boundaries and has the ability to pique curiosity and create awareness. 

QUALITY:

The degree of excellence exhibited in  the Recycled Art Piece.

AESTHETICS:

The degree of visual appeal of the Recycled Art Piece.
