- CHRIS
Nothing and no one had prepared Chris for life at the university. The racy lifestyle on campus shocked the socks right off of him. He encountered a young population of energetic and wild, wide-eyed students from diverse backgrounds. Equipped with newly found freedom, these tenderfoots created an unbridled hotbed of chaos.
Â
They squandered their precious time, oblivious to the fact that it can never be recovered. They endlessly and spontaneously indulged in vices that rivaled those documented in the biblical Sodom and Gomorrah saga; forcing an all-loving God to uncharacteristically throw a brim and firestone tantrum. The depravities included drugs, alcoholism and prostitution. Extreme cases involved serious criminal activity ranging from terrorism to gun-toting crimes. The local television channels and newspapers highlighted these extreme action dramas, leaving the whole nation numb in disbelief.
Â
In an attempt to restore some semblance of sanity, horrified moralist activists erected huge billboards within the vicinity of universities denouncing inter-generational sex. It was a losing bid. Hopelessly so. Instead, the campaign only fanned the already raging flames. In exchange for monetary and other material favors, younglings were happily offering themselves as willing sacrificial lambs to the altar of lecherous men and women as old as their grandparents.
Â
“Do you know that within a two kilometer radius of campus one can get access to absolutely anything!’ exclaimed a shock-eyed Chris. ‘I mean, even the lecturer did not show up for the first class!’ he went off on a tangent as he lamented despairingly. For a boy who had been raised in Ngong, a small laid back town at the outskirts of the city, this was a mind-stunner. He must have thought the world had gone and truly turned on its very own head. Overnight.
